Retornaz responded with a 9-3 win over Marc Muskatewitz (Fuessen, GER). Retornaz won 10-8 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad , SWE). Retornaz went on to lose 9-7 against Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
