Kim finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim lost 12-6 to Philippines's Kathleen Dubberstein, then responded with a 14-1 win over Qatar's Mubarkah Al-Abdulla. Kim won 12-0 against Kazakhstan's Amina Seitzhanova. Kim went on to lose 6-4 against Han. Kim responded with a 14-3 win over Kyrgystan's Keremet Asanbaeva in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Asian Winter Games, Kim take home 8.250 world rankings points. For week 28 of the event schedule, Kim did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 56th to 60th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 29.876 total points.
