Jacobs finished 8-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Thomas Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK) 10-3, then won 20-2 against Aaron Bartling (Hay River, NT) and 10-3 against Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI). Jacobs won 6-3 against Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK), then won 7-3 against Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS) and 11-5 against Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON). Jacobs won 6-4 against Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC), then won 9-6 against Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Montana's Brier Championship title, Jacobs earned 67.500 world rankings points. Jacobs move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 51 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 3rd overall with 335.250 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
