United States's Matt Thums lost 8-2 to Norway's Jostein Stordahl. United States's Matt Thums lost 9-4 to Japan's Hiromi Takahashi. United States's Matt Thums lost 5-3 to Korea's Hyeonchul Lee where United States's Matt Thums responded with a 4-3 win over China's Haitao Wang. United States's Matt Thums went on to lose 8-6 against Sweden's Viljo Petersson-Dahl. United States's Matt Thums responded with a 7-6 win over Latvia's Agris Lasmans in their final qualifying round match.
