MacTavish finished 6-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacTavish defeated Dylan Derksen (Saskatoon, SK) 8-7, then won 6-3 against Nash Sugden (Morden, MB) and 12-4 against Chris Parkinson (Comox Valley, BC). MacTavish went on to lose 7-3 against Zach Atherton (Halifax, NS). MacTavish lost 10-4 to Pierre-Olivier Roy (Quebec, QC) where MacTavish responded with a 9-7 win over Riley Winters (North Bay, NO). MacTavish won 17-3 against Isaiah Dalton (Cornwall, PEI), then won 9-3 against Zach Davies (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
MacTavish earned 1.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the New Holland Canadian U20 Junior Championships. For week 35 of the event schedule, MacTavish did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
