Toa Nakahara (Kitami, JPN) finished 4-5 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nakahara lost 12-1 to Norway's Lukas Hostmaelingen, then responded with a 6-1 win over Felix Luethold (Wildhaus, SUI). Nakahara won 7-5 against Lukas Jaeger (Fuessen, GER). Nakahara went on to lose 10-3 against Stefano Gilli (Pinerolo, ITA). Nakahara responded with a 8-6 win over Wesley Wendling (Chaska, USA). Nakahara went on to lose 9-4 against Orrin Carson (Stirling, SCO). Nakahara lost 10-3 to Korea's Daehyeon Kim. Nakahara lost 9-3 to Jacob Schmidt (Hvidovre, DEN) where Nakahara responded with a 8-7 win over Kenan Wipf (Calgary, CAN) in their final qualifying round match.

Nakahara earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 84 spots the World Ranking Standings into 264th place overall with 2.438 total points. Nakahara ranks 263rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.438 points earned so far this season.
