McMakin went on to lose 8-6 against Shaela Hayward (Winnipeg, MB). McMakin lost 8-3 to Kayla MacMillan (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
McMakin earned 14.875 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Icebreaker Challenge. For week 6 of the event schedule, McMakin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
