Taylor Reese-Hansen (Victoria, BC) lost 7-2 to Miyu Ueno (Karuizawa, JPN) in the Final of the Crestwood Anniversary Showdown, held November 20 - 23 at the Crestwood Curling Club in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Reese-Hansen won 6-5 over Myla Plett (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the Crestwood Anniversary Showdown in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 8-4 over Amanda Sluchinski (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the Crestwood Anniversary Showdown in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
Reese-Hansen finished 2-2 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Reese-Hansen lost 7-4 to Plett, droppimg another game, 6-5 to Dacey Brown (Edmonton, AB) where Reese-Hansen responded with a 8-1 win over Alberta's Leslie Hammond. Reese-Hansen won 9-4 against Alberta's Vicky Shaw in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Crestwood Anniversary Showdown, Reese-Hansen take home 15.400 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN prize. Reese-Hansen move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 10.825 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 23rd overall with 135.005 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
