Serena Gray-Withers/Victor Pietrangelo (Edmonton, AB) won 8-2 over Grace Cave/Jayden King (Tillsonburg, ON) in the Final of the Next Gen U25 Mixed Doubles, held August 29 - 31 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Gray-Withers/Pietrangelo won 9-1 over Sophia Ryhorchuk/Ronan Peterson (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the Next Gen U25 Mixed Doubles in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-3 over Gracelyn Richards/Zach Davies (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals.
Gray-Withers/Pietrangelo finished 5-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gray-Withers/Pietrangelo defeated Brooklyn Ideson/Owen Henry (London, ON) 7-2, then won 7-2 against Amy Wheatcroft/Adam Naugler (Edmonton, AB) and 10-0 against Olivia Wynter/Cameron Sallaj (Moncton, NB). Gray-Withers/Pietrangelo won 10-2 against Richards/Davies, then won 7-4 against Zoe Cinnamon/Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Next Gen U25 Mixed Doubles Championship title, Gray-Withers/Pietrangelo earned 18.000 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 6 of the event schedule, Gray-Withers/Pietrangelo did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gray-Withers/Pietrangelo ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
