Torhild Bjoernstad (Lillehammer, NOR) won 7-5 over Evelina Barone (Riga, LAT) in the Final of the Match Town Trophy, held October 2 - 5 in Jonkoping, Sweden. Bjoernstad finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bjoernstad defeated Verena Pfluegler (Kitzbuehel, AUT) 6-4, then won 7-5 against Aneta Lipinska (Lodz, POL) and 9-5 against Moa Dryburgh (Sundbyberg, SWE). Bjoernstad won 11-6 against Lisenka Bomas (Zoetermeer, NED), then won 10-0 against Erika Ryberg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Match Town Trophy Championship title, Bjoernstad earned 16.500 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 11 of the event schedule, Bjoernstad did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 40th to 42nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 82.254 total points. Bjoernstad ranks 26th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 41.800 points earned so far this season.
