Sara Miller (Regina, SK) won 7-4 over Penny Barker (Moose Jaw, SK) in the Final of the Nutana SaskTour Women's Spiel, held November 14 - 16 at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Miller won 5-4 over Jolene Campbell (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the Nutana SaskTour Women's Spiel in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 9-6 over Saskatchewan's Michelle Englot in the quarterfinals.
Miller finished 4-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Miller defeated Nancy Martin (Wakaw, SK) 6-2, then won 9-3 against Breanne Crouch (Rocky Mountain House/Edmonton, AB) and 7-4 against Saskatchewan's Amber Holland. Miller won 9-4 against Saskatchewan's Michelle Englot in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Nutana SaskTour Women's Spiel Championship title, Miller earned 19.500 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN first prize cheque. Miller move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 13.301 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 46th overall with 75.673 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Miller ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 57.075 points earned so far this season.
