Kim/Jeong finished 6-1 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim/Jeong defeated Lee/Kim 10-9, then won 10-5 against Shim/Park and 9-2 against Ye ji Seol/San Kim (Gyeonggi, KOR).
