To advance to the championship game, Kim/Jeong won 10-3 over Haein Lee/Honggeon Kim (Daegu, KOR) in the semifinals of the Korean Mixed Doubles National Championship in Jincheon, Korea; and won 7-6 over Yujeong Shim/Jinhwan Park (Jeonbuk, KOR) in the quarterfinals. of the Korean Mixed Doubles National Championship in Jincheon, Korea;

Kim/Jeong finished 6-1 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim/Jeong defeated Lee/Kim 10-9, then won 10-5 against Shim/Park and 9-2 against Ye ji Seol/San Kim (Gyeonggi, KOR). Kim/Jeong won 7-3 against Seunghee Yang/JaeBeom Lee (Seoul, KOR), then won 8-3 against Yerin Park/Jeongwook Choi (Ulsan, KOR). Kim/Jeong went on to lose 8-3 against Yeji Kim/Seongmin Park (Gyeongbuk, KOR). Kim/Jeong responded with a 9-2 win over Subin Kim/Kyungho Park (Chungbuk, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Korean Mixed Doubles National Championship Championship title, Kim/Jeong earned 30.000 world rankings points.
