Kang lost 9-5 to Jin Hee Ahn (Jeonju, KOR) where Kang responded with a 7-3 win over Su Yun Oh (Gyeonggi, KOR). Kang won 8-6 against Eunjung Kim (Uiseong, KOR). Kang went on to lose 7-6 against Su ji Kim (Seoul, KOR). Kang responded with a 7-6 win over Hye-Ji Jang (Uiseong, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kang ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
