In their opening game, MacDougall defeated Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) 5-4, then went on to lose 6-5 against Miles Craig (Victoria, BC). MacDougall lost 9-3 to Rene Comeau (Fredericton, NB) where MacDougall responded with a 8-4 win over Jessie Hunkin (Crestwood, AB). MacDougall won 6-5 against Eddie MacKenzie (Cornwall, PEI), then won 9-2 against Scott Williamson (Whitehorse, YK). MacDougall went on to lose 11-6 against Sam Mooibroek (Waterloo, ON). MacDougall lost 6-2 to Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK). MacDougall lost 9-5 to Rod Feltham (Gander, NL). MacDougall lost 6-3 to Yannick Martel (Chicoutimi, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
MacDougall ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
