Sam Mooibroek (Waterloo, ON) lost 6-5 to Rene Comeau (Fredericton, NB) in the Final of the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, held November 2 - 8, 2025 in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan. To advance to the championship game, Mooibroek won 8-3 over Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2026 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan;
 
Mooibroek finished 9-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mooibroek defeated Charlie Robert (Sault Ste. Marie, NO) 8-2, then won 9-2 against Rod Feltham (Gander, NL) and 7-2 against Ackerman. Mooibroek won 9-2 against Peter Van Strien (Iqaluit, NU), then won 11-2 against Betti Delorey (Hay River, NT) and 9-2 against Yannick Martel (Chicoutimi, QC). Mooibroek won 11-6 against Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS), then won 10-5 against Miles Craig (Victoria, BC) and 9-3 against Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB). Mooibroek went on to lose 11-6 against Comeau in their final qualifying round match.
