Norway's Pal Trulsen 7-5, then won 6-5 against Finland's Markku Uusipaavalniemi and 10-2 against Italy's Stefano Ferronato. Scotland's David Murdoch won 9-6 against New Zealand's Sean Becker. Scotland's David Murdoch went on to lose 9-4 against Switzerland's Andreas Schwaller. Scotland's David Murdoch lost 10-5 to Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN, USA) where Scotland's David Murdoch responded with a 7-4 win over Germany's Andy Kapp. Scotland's David Murdoch won 5-4 against Sweden's Eric Carlsen, then won 8-4 against Denmark's Johnny Frederiksen. Scotland's David Murdoch went on to lose 8-4 against Randy Ferbey (Edmonton, CAN). Scotland's David Murdoch responded with a 6-5 win over Australia's Hugh Millikin in their final qualifying round match.
