Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN, USA) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Fenson finished 7-3 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fenson defeated
Switzerland's Andreas Schwaller 9-5, then won 7-6 against Denmark's Johnny Frederiksen and 8-7 against Randy Ferbey (Edmonton, CAN). Fenson went on to lose 7-5 against Finland's Markku Uusipaavalniemi. Fenson responded with a 10-5 win over Scotland's David Murdoch. Fenson went on to lose 6-5 against Germany's Andy Kapp. Fenson lost 6-3 to Norway's Pal Trulsen where Fenson responded with a 7-6 win over New Zealand's Sean Becker. Fenson won 8-6 against Sweden's Eric Carlsen, then won 10-6 against Italy's Stefano Ferronato in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week of the event schedule, Fenson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Fenson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
