In their opening game, Rich lost 9-3 to Peter Lundquist (Fairbanks, AK), then responded with a 10-5 win over Fraser (Whitehorse, YK). Rich won 11-2 against Gayle Hazen (Fairbanks, AK). Rich went on to lose 11-5 against Jason Larway (Seattle, WA) in their final qualifying round match.
