Wayden Transportation Ladies Classic qualifying round, held November 14 - 17, 2008 at the Abbotsford Curling Club in Abbotsford, Canada. In their opening game, Sonnenberg lost 6-4 to Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON), then responded with a 6-2 win over Ashleigh Clark (British Columbia). Sonnenberg went on to lose 6-5 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). Sonnenberg responded with a 9-2 win over Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON). Sonnenberg went on to lose 5-4 against Cathy King (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Sonnenberg earned 2.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Sonnenberg did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Sonnenberg ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
