Amber Holland (Kronau, SK) qualified for the 2009 Trail Appliances Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-3 against Cathy King (Edmonton, AB).
 
Holland finished 5-1 in the 32 team Trail Appliances Curling Classic qualifying round, held October 9 - 12, 2009 at the Calgary Curling Club in , Canada. In their opening game, Holland defeated Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) 6-0, then won 7-5 against Kerry Galusha (Yellowknife, NT) and 7-1 against Diane Foster (Lethbridge, www). Holland went on to lose 6-5 against Eve Belisle (Montreal, PQ). Holland responded with a 7-2 win over Georgina Wheatcroft (New Westminster, BC). Holland won 5-3 against Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Holland earned 18.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Trail Appliances Curling Classic. For week of the event schedule, Holland did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Holland ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
