Petryk responded with a 6-4 win over Gerry Adam (Yorkton, SK). Petryk won 6-1 against Robert Schlender (Edmonton, AB), then won 6-3 against Chris Galbraith (Winnipeg, MB). Petryk went on to lose 8-6 against Randy Ferbey (Edmonton, AB). Petryk responded with a 6-5 win over Braeden Moskowy (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Petryk earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Point Optical Curling Classic, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 24th place overall with 57.040 total points.
