In their opening game, Sweeting defeated Delia DeJong (Sexsmith, AB) 8-6, then won 8-6 against Laura Crocker (Edmonton, AB) and 7-6 against Tiffany Game (Edmonton, AB). Sweeting went on to lose 9-7 against Renee Sonnenberg (Grande Prairie, AB). Sweeting responded with a 6-4 win over Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB). Sweeting went on to lose 7-4 against Crocker. Sweeting lost 8-7 to Kristie Moore (Grande Prairie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
