In their opening game, McCarville defeated Krista Mayrand (Cochrane, ON) 7-4, then won 6-4 against Jacqueline Harrison (Alliston, ON) and 7-6 against Cathy Auld (Mississauga, ON). McCarville won 7-4 against Marlo Dahl (Thunder Bay, ON), then won 5-4 against Julie Hastings (Toronto, ON) and 7-4 against Horgan. McCarville won 11-5 against Lisa Farnell (Peterborough, ON), then won 8-3 against Jenn Hanna (Ottawa, ON) and 8-5 against Carrie Lindner (Sarnia, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
