Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK) finished 1-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobson lost 7-1 to Tom Appelman (Edmonton, AB), droppimg another game, 7-2 to Kevin Park (Edmonton, AB) where Jacobson responded with a 9-3 win over Fengchun Wang (Harbin, CHN). Jacobson went on to lose 4-3 against Andrew Bilesky (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week 9 of the event schedule, Jacobson did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 44th to 46th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 30.074 total points. Jacobson ranks 64th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.850 points earned so far this season.
