John Epping (Toronto, ON) qualified for the 2014 Players' Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-4 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). of the 2014 Players' Championship in Summerside, Prince Edward Island;
 
Epping finished 3-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epping lost 4-3 to Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 8-5 win over Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON). Epping won 6-2 against Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI). Epping went on to lose 7-4 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Epping responded with a 7-4 win over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Epping earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Players' Championship. For week 36 of the event schedule, Epping did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Epping ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
