Peter de Cruz (Geneva, SUI) lost 7-4 to Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) in the Final of the German Masters, held January 24 - 26, 2014 in Hamburg, Germany. To advance to the championship game, de Cruz won 5-3 over Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN) in the semifinals of the 2014 German Masters in Hamburg, Germany; and won 6-5 over Markus Hoiberg (Oppdal, NOR) in the quarterfinals.

In their opening game, de Cruz defeated Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN) 6-5, then went on to lose 5-4 against Liu. de Cruz responded with a 5-3 win over Konstantin Kampf (Fuessen, GER). de Cruz went on to lose 9-5 against Brady Clark (Lynnwood, WA) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the German Masters, de Cruz take home 11.480 world rankings points along with the $4,562CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 22nd place overall with 115.205 total points. de Cruz ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 47.980 points earned so far this season.
