Peter Mellor (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) won 4-3 over Roy Arndt (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Port Elgin Superspiel, held November 21 - 23, 2014 at the Port Elgin Curling Club in Port Elgin, Canada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Mellor won 4-2 over Travis Belchior (Oakville, ON) to advance to the championship game. of the 2014 Port Elgin Superspiel in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada; of the 2014 Port Elgin Superspiel in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada;
 
Mellor finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mellor defeated Damien Villard (Galt, ON) 7-4, then won 7-2 against Ontario's Doug Morrison and 7-2 against Arndt in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Port Elgin Superspiel Championship title, Mellor earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $5,700CDN first prize cheque, moving up 47 spots the World Ranking Standings into 176th place overall with 4.626 total points. Mellor ranks 127th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.500 points earned so far this season.
