Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2015 Meridian Canadian Open playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO). of the 2015 Meridian Canadian Open in Yorkton, Saskatchewan;

Sweeting went on to lose 7-5 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). Sweeting responded with a 5-4 win over Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
