Kim won 8-7 against Chelsea Carey (Calgary, CAN), then won 7-5 against Federica Apollonio (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Kim went on to lose 7-5 against Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
