Brown went on to lose 7-4 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Brown responded with a 8-3 win over Oona Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Brown won 5-4 against Margaretha Sigfridsson (Sundsvall, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
Brown earned 15.212 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 19th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 0.075999999999993 after improving upon their best so far this season.
