Ogasawara won 9-4 against Rina Ida (Sapporo, JPN), then won 7-2 against Japan's Misaki Tanaka in their final qualifying round match.
 
Ogasawara earned 11.991 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Japan Curling Championships, remaining in 17th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 10.517 after improving upon their best so far this season.
