Dayna Deruelle (Brampton , ON) won 6-2 over Jon St. Denis (Stouffville, ON) in the Final of the COMCO Cash Spiel, held November 10 - 13, 2016 at the Stroud Curling Club in Innisfil, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Deruelle won 3-1 over Daryl Shane (Waterloo, ON) in the semifinals of the 2016 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-2 over Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) in the quarterfinals.
 
Deruelle finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Deruelle defeated Stephane Lauzon (Bradford, ON) 7-6, then won 8-3 against Guy Racette (Toronto, ON) and 7-2 against Gord Thompson (Innisfil, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the COMCO Cash Spiel Championship title, Deruelle earned 16.766 world rankings points along with the $3,600CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 31st place overall with 170.670 total points. Deruelle ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 80.971 points earned so far this season.
