Molson Cash Spiel qualifying round, held November 24 - 26, 2016 at the Duluth Curling Club in Duluth, United States. In their opening game, Potter defeated Cristin Clark (Seattle, WA) 6-4, then went on to lose 9-3 against Nina Roth (Blaine, USA). Potter responded with a 8-3 win over Emily Quello (Bemidji, MN). Potter went on to lose 9-2 against Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Potter earned 0.919 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 15 of the event schedule, Potter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Potter ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
