In their opening game, Sweden's Anna Hasselborg lost 6-4 to Brett Barber (Biggar, SK), then responded with a 5-1 win over Manitoba's Rhonda Varnes. Sweden's Anna Hasselborg won 6-3 against Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB), then won 7-4 against Barb Spencer (winnnipeg, MB) and 8-6 against EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
