Ian Dickie (Ontario) qualified for the 2017 KW Fall Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-2 against Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR).
 
Dickie finished 3-2 in the 18 team KW Fall Classic qualifying round, held September 21 - 24, 2017 at the K-W Granite Club in Waterloo, Canada. In their opening game, Dickie defeated Connor Duhaime (Ontario) 4-2, then won 3-2 against Richard Krell (Ontario). Dickie went on to lose 9-6 against Tanner Horgan (Northern Ontario). Dickie lost 7-4 to De Jia Zou (Harbin, CHN) where Dickie responded with a 9-4 win over Rob Lobel (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Dickie earned 9.644 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the KW Fall Classic. For week 7 of the event schedule, Dickie did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Dickie ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
