Thomas went on to lose 8-0 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Thomas earned 3.706 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, dropping 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 29th place overall with 168.587 total points. Thomas ranks 105th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.852 points earned so far this season.
