Kurt Balderston (Grande Prairie, AB) run at the 2018 Peace Tour Championship came to an end in the semifinals with a 9-5 loss to Jeff Ginter (Dawson Creek, BC).

Balderston finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Balderston lost 5-3 to Scott Webb (Peace River, AB), then responded with a 1-0 win over Colin Griffith (Grande Prairie, AB). Balderston won 4-1 against Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Balderston earned 5.234 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Peace Tour Championship. For week 23 of the event schedule, Balderston did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 492nd to 493rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 0.763 total points. Balderston ranks 369th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.763 points earned so far this season.
