Hamblin went on to lose 6-5 against Daley Peters (Portage la Prairie, MB). Hamblin responded with a 8-6 win over Alex Leichter (Boston, MA). Hamblin went on to lose 5-2 against Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Hamblin earned 1.109 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 15 of the event schedule, Hamblin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
