Chiaki Matsumura (Karuizawa, JPN) lost 10-3 to Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the Final of the Karuizawa International, held December 14 - 17, 2017 in Karuizawa, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Matsumura won 6-3 over Ayumi Ogasawara (Sapporo, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2017 Karuizawa International in Karuizawa, Japan; and won 5-3 over Un-Chi Gim (Gyeonggi-do, KOR) in the quarterfinals.
