McEwen/McEwen won 11-8 against Dana Ferguson/Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB), then won 8-4 against Anastasia Bryzgalova/Alexander Krushelnitskiy (St. Petersburg, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.

The berth into the first round of the Canad Inns Mixed Doubles Championship playoffs earned McEwen/McEwen 0.000 world rankings points. For week 4 of the event schedule, McEwen/McEwen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
