Gedak finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gedak defeated Tokarz 6-2, then won 7-2 against Scott Comfort (Wadena, SK) and 8-3 against Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Moose Jaw Cash Spiel Championship title, Gedak earned 10.413 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 78th place overall with 59.376 total points. Gedak ranks 85th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 21.551 points earned so far this season.
