Jacobson finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobson defeated Selke 7-4, then won 6-2 against Austin Williamson (Regina, SK) and 7-0 against Murray Stroeder (Moose Jaw, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
