Randy Bryden (Regina, SK) lost 5-1 to Scott Bitz (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the Estevan Power Dodge Curling Classic, held December 1 - 3, 2017 at the Estevan Curling Club in Estevan, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Bryden won 11-4 over Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK) in the semifinals of the 2017 Estevan Power Dodge Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 7-3 over Shane Vollman (Regina, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Estevan Power Dodge Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Bryden finished 3-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryden defeated Mitchell Dales (Saskatoon, SK) 3-0, then went on to lose 7-2 against Vollman. Bryden responded with a 6-5 win over Jeff Chambers (Swift Current, SK). Bryden won 9-4 against Travis Tokarz (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Estevan Power Dodge Curling Classic, Bryden take home 11.049 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, moving up 21 spots the World Ranking Standings into 123rd place overall with 38.398 total points. Bryden ranks 120th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.730 points earned so far this season.
