In their opening game, St. Onge defeated Mike Bryson (Regina, SK) 6-3, then won 6-5 against Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK) and 6-4 against Daniel Selke (Regina, SK). St. Onge went on to lose 7-2 against Randy Bryden (Regina, SK). St. Onge lost 7-6 to Ackerman where St. Onge responded with a 9-6 win over Ben Gamble (Regina, SK). St. Onge went on to lose 6-4 against Mark Walter (Lampman, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
St. Onge earned 0.900 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 208 spots the World Ranking Standings into 497th place overall with 0.9 total points. St. Onge ranks 380th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.900 points earned so far this season.
