Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) won 2-1 over Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Princess Auto Elite 10, held September 26 - 30, 2018 in Chatham, Ontario. Gushue finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB) 4-1, then went on to lose 3-2 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishe, ON). Gushue responded with a 4-0 win over John Epping (Toronto, ON). Gushue won 2-0 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Princess Auto Elite 10 Championship title, Gushue earned 72.211 world rankings points along with the $26,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 1st place overall with 593.441 total points. Gushue ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 72.211 points earned so far this season.
