Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) won 8-3 over Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) in the Final of the Karuizawa International, held December 20 - 23, 2018 in Karuizawa, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Sidorova won 7-4 over Seina Nakajima (Nagano, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2018 Karuizawa International in Karuizawa, Japan; and won 6-3 over Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Karuizawa International in Karuizawa, Japan;

Sidorova finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sidorova lost 6-5 to Yoshimura, then responded with a 7-3 win over Min Ji Kim (chuncheon city, KOR). Sidorova won 8-3 against Kaede Kudo (Tokyo, JPN), then won 7-6 against Ami Enami (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Karuizawa International Championship title, Sidorova earned 32.405 world rankings points along with the $15,894CDN first prize cheque, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 24th place overall with 159.943 total points. Sidorova ranks 32nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 104.177 points earned so far this season.
