To advance to the championship game, Willsey won 4-3 over Richard Krell (Waterloo, ON) in the semifinals of the 2018 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada; and won 6-2 over Cory Heggestad (Stroud, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada;
 
Willsey finished 3-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Willsey defeated Heggestad 7-2, then won 10-3 against Neil Currie (Stroud, ON) and 7-1 against Al Corbeil (Alliston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the COMCO Cash Spiel, Willsey take home 15.480 world rankings points along with the $1,900CDN prize.
