To advance to the championship game, Rhyme won 9-4 over Anya Normandeau (St. Paul, MN) in the semifinals of the 2018 Dakota Challenger Spiel in Lakeville, Minnesota, United States;
 
Rhyme finished 3-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rhyme defeated Kimberly Wapola (St. Paul, MN) 8-4, then won 9-2 against Normandeau. Rhyme went on to lose 8-1 against Min Ji Kim (Chuncheon, KOR). Rhyme responded with a 9-2 win over Jennalee Johnson (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Dakota Challenger Spiel Championship title, Rhyme earned 9.899 world rankings points along with the $1,116CDN first prize cheque. Rhyme move up 52 spots after posting a net gain of 9.08 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 142nd overall with 17.086 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Rhyme ranks 136th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 13.809 points earned so far this season.
