To advance to the championship game, Galkina won 6-4 over Elizaveta Trukhina (Irkutsk, RUS) in the semifinals of the 2018 Russian Curling Cup in Krasnoyarsk, Russia;
 
Galkina finished 7-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Galkina defeated Diana Margarian (Saint Petersburg, RUS) 8-5, then won 11-2 against Anastasia Sushkova (Tatarstan, RUS) and 7-6 against Olga Kotelnikova (Moscow, RUS). Galkina won 6-4 against Ekaterina Kungurova (Novosibirsk, RUS), then won 7-4 against Evgenia Mamykina (Moscow, RUS) and 5-3 against Ekaterina Telnova (Moscow, RUS). Galkina won 5-4 against Ksenia Novikova (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Russian Curling Cup, Galkina take home 13.939 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize.
