Oona Kauste (Aland, FIN) finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kauste defeated Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong, HKG) 8-7, then won 10-2 against Anne Shibuya (Sao Paolo, BRZ) and 9-6 against Bridget Becker (Naseby, NZL). Kauste won 9-4 against Marta Pluta (Gilwice, POL), then won 8-6 against Jie Mei (Beijing, CHN) and 8-5 against Marie Turmann (Tallinn, EST). Kauste won 6-4 against Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Women's World Qualification Event, Kauste take home 18.810 world rankings points. Kauste move up 24 spots after posting a net gain of 14.537 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 75th overall with 52.746 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kauste ranks 80th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 48.474 points earned so far this season.
